Dr Flavio Burgarella is a cardiologist with a specialization in cardiac rehabilitation and more than 30 years of experience as Responsible of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Center in Bergamo Italy.
He is founder, past president and executive director of Heart Friends Around The World, ( www.hfatw.org) an worldwide association, affiliated to the World Heart Federation, aiming to promote the prevention and rehabilitation of heart disease.
He collaborates with the World Health Organization for the promotion of prevention and rehabilitation of cardiovascular disease in developing countries.
He is honorary member of the Russian Federation of Cardiology and of the Cuban Society of Atherosclerosis.
He is founder and president of Telehealth, ( www.telesalute.it) an association for the promotion of the spiritual dimension in medicine. He is author of several publications and books for patients health education. He is member of the Italian Order of the Journalists and poetry writer ( www.burgarella.it).
